As physiotherapists our goal is to design a program of exercises that will facilitate recovery, prevent injuries and maximise the body’s capabilities. Muscle flexibility and strength are two components of an assessment from which an individualised exercise program is developed. These programs may include muscle balancing exercises, stretching programs, balance and proprioceptive training, postural retraining, sport specific training, resistance training and core stabilization exercises.
Athletic and Sports Rehabilitation
Our Physiotherapists can evaluate performance weakness and strengths of athletes, condition athletes to correct physical deficiencies, recommend safety equipment to reduce injuries and develop fitness programs for all segments of the general public.
Sport Physiotherapy Canada (SPC), a division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association has developed three levels of certification: Level I/ Candidate; Level II/Certificate; Level III/ Diploma.
